The former Tivoli Cinema in Francis Street D8 has been utterly  demolished and replaced by Stay city Appartment Hotel.  

The Theatre Royal on Hawkins st D2 was demolished in the 60s ( the only one which got an organ and a pitt for 20 musicians) and could accomodate an audience of 3600. Broadway type,with the Royalettes and ushers. Replaced by the Department of  Health and since 2025 college square with a 21storeys' building of 82m high residential and offices;
